Mastering Lateral and Crestal Sinus Augmentation

The atrophic maxillary sinus is a challenging site for oral rehabilitation with dental implant due to insucient bone volume. Various surgical techniques have been reported for the augmentation of atrophic

maxillary sinus to accommodate implants. This intensive 2 days hands on program covers minimally invasive lateral and cretal sinus augmentation using piezoelectric bone surgery.

DAY 1

Lateral sinus augmentation

1) Understand basic principles and various applications of piezo-electric bone surgery

2) Understand basic sinus anatomy and sinus pathosis of maxillary sinus

3) Understand how to manage sinus pathosis before and during sinus augmentation procedure

4) Understand the advantages of piezo-electric sinus augmentation compared to conventional sinus bone graft

5) Understand Infection-free sinus augmentation with/without bone graft

6) Understand how to manage and prevent sinus complications

DAY 2

Crestal sinus augmentation

1) Review various crestal sinus augmentation

2) Understand advantages and disadvantages of conventional osteotome mediated sinus elevation

3) Understand management of complications associated with conventional crestal sinus augmentaion

4) Understand minimally invasive Hydrodynamic piezo-electric Internal sinus elevation (HPISE)

5) Understand flapless sinus augmentation
