WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

· Understanding the consultation process, guiding patients toward high-value treatment options, building case acceptance, improving conversion rates, and helping patients make confident decisions.
· Smile design: determining what looks aesthetically pleasing and adjusting the parameters of the design for either a natural appearance or a Hollywood-style smile.
· Motivational mockup: allowing patients to visualise potential results, ensuring they understand and approve the treatment before preparation, and giving the clinician the opportunity to evaluate and refine the design.
· Material biochemistry: understanding the surface treatment of various materials, including silica-based materials (e.g., Max, LiSi, feldspathic ceramics), non-silica-based materials such as zirconia, and both precious and non-precious metals. Exploring the principles of immediate versus delayed dentine sealing, alongside techniques for preparing tooth surfaces for optimal bonding outcomes.
· Preparation Design: an overview of Type 1 to Type 4 preparations. Key considerations include factors influencing preparation depth, when to open interproximal contacts, incisal edge finishing, incorporating elbow preparation, and techniques for effectively hiding margins.
· Soft tissue management: exploring the differences between surgical and non-surgical crown lengthening. It covers techniques and indications, as well as various approaches and expected outcomes. Additionally, strategies for addressing and navigating black triangles to achieve optimal esthetic results are discussed.
· Impression Techniques: comparing analogue and digital methods in dentistry, highlighting their differences, advantages, and application in clinical practice.
· Occlusion: Traditional vs. contemporary occlusal concepts: understanding the principles behind each approach and how they contribute to achieving long-lasting restorations.
· Temporisation Techniques: Learn how to temporise with three different techniques, focusing on effective soft tissue management. Discover methods for easy removal, along with tips and tricks to minimise breakage and ensure optimal results.
· Cementation protocol: exploring different methods of tooth isolation, soft tissue retraction techniques that avoid trauma, and understanding when to bond versus lute a restoration for optimal outcomes
