You don’t refer all your RCT’s to an Endodontist; similarly, not every crown needs a Prosthodontist.
So why do you refer every periodontal patient to a Periodontist?
Periodontal management is an enigma with most practices either getting their hygienists to do 3 monthly cleans or just referring the patient out.
While that is great for me and my fellow periodontists, it can be a loss for your practice.
It’s everything one would learn in the first 12 months of postgrad perio training stripped of all the collateral bullshit and compacted into 1 day.
