  • The Lecture explorers the evidence-based replacement options for the missing lateral incisior. This includes orthodontics, dentures, fixed tooth supported solutions and implant replacement strategies. Understand the impact of patient and site factors affecting the treatment decisions.

  • An exploration of the causes for lower central incisor recession which is all too common in daily practice. What are the risks factors, why does it happen and what should we advise our patients. Finally through a series of case studies, we explore the varying surgical and non-surgical treatment options on how to best manage the gingival recession.

  • When a failing tooth 26 in to be extracted and replaced with a dental implant. What are the essential assessments we ought to undertake to ensure the patient has the smoothest treatment pathway. How should we extract the tooth? Should we socket preserve the site and if so how do we best go about it? Will the case require a sinus lift? What is the best implant placement strategy for the case - immediate, early or delayed

  • The lower first molar often called the money tooth. Why does it experience so much dental disease and what are the different treatment strategies to preserve it to serve the patient for as long as possible? What are the critical factors to determine if the case is best suited towards an immediate, early or late implant placement. In the case of an immediate implant which cases benefit from partial extractiont therapy, dual zone therapy or soft tissue grafting to improve the patient outcomes.

Dr. Sheng Zhang is a general dentist with a special interest and practice limited to implants and periodontics. He has studied extensively around the world learning from the leaders in the field and completed numerous externships in Europe and USA.
Dr. Zhang is a Key Opinion Leader for multiple implant companies and a consultant for many others. He shares his knowledge as the lead trainer for Dental Artistry Academy and lectures worldwide. Previously, he was also a clinical educator and examiner at the University of Sydney Dental School. He prides himself on staying up to date with the latest dental procedures and technologies with an admirable record of completing over 150 hours of continuing professional development every year. An academic at heart, Dr. Zhang regularly publishes in dental journals and authored a thesis introducing a new technique for maxillary sinus lift grafts using patients own biomaterials (Alb-CGF).
